China Mobile recently revealed the results of its fourth round TD-SCDMA (Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access) equipment procurement tender, the Sina News reported on July 28. The ten winners of the tender include Huawei, which was rewarded 28%-29% of the tender, followed by ZTE's 22%, Datang Mobile's 18%-19%, Nokia Siemens Networks' 8%, Potevio's 6%, New Postcom's 6%, FiberHome's 5%, and Ericsson's 5%. China Mobile stated that Huawei, ZTE, and Datang Telecom took up over 70% of the total tender. Through the fourth round tender, company plans to purchase 102,000 TD-SCDMA base stations, streamline the infrastructure deployed in 238 cities across China during the first three tenders, and expand its TD-SCDMA network coverage to another 101 cities, according to the same source.
